Introduction: MCI is considered as a prodromal stage between normal cognitive aging and dementia given its potential to develop into various forms of dementia, most notably Alzheimer’s disease (AD). This translates need for effective pharmacological non-pharmacological treatments prevent the progression subsequently slowing AD onset. review aims discuss effectiveness interventions in progression. Methods: A literature search was conducted using PubMed database randomized controlled trials (RCTs) examining with individuals MCI. Keywords included “mild impairment”, “drug”, “treatment”, “randomized trials”. Articles were evaluated on criteria relevant review’s purpose. Results: Studies different demonstrated promising results dementia. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (AChEIs) display favourable multiple assessments when compared placebo.
